It's always been difficult for Ishiah to discern all that much in a person's tone beyond the immediate and direct interpretation of their words. With Robin, things were easier as a result of the thousands of years that they came to know each other for, and any people who share that particular sense of humor can more easily fall under Ishiah's disapproving gaze. But those of softer, muted personalities are strangely far more of a task to the peri, even though his own behavior more closely aligns with their own.
