"I wouldn't be so bold as to lay ownership to any of the birds here," Ishiah smiles, reaching into the small pouch he's brought along and holding out a crust of dry bread, in case she should like to feed the birds as well. "Back in Manhattan, I was caretaker of dozens, but they were raised in captivity and thus needed the support. Here, I can't say the same, so they are my companions and nothing else."
