Nothing about the juxtaposition sounds strange to him; memories are often tampered with, especially by those with magic, but even as a function of one's regular health at times. "Unfortunately, I'm not the type of person who knows how to coax out the truth so easily with humans, but we have plenty of qualified doctors on the island who may be able to help."
