She took the weapon back, turning it over, letting the gleam distract her momentarily. Unbidden, the memories of Kimano rush over her like a flood; his joy, his compassion, she'd never met a trickster more willing to let a mark get off with a warning or a lesser trick and she loved, her absent brother all the more for it. She remembered Zeke's smile and his stark way of looking at things. His absolute devotion to Griffin, and lesser so his devotion to her. Both of them brothers, even if only on shared her blood.
