"And are any of these friends within the city?" Ishiah asks, even as his mind goes at once to Yukio, wondering if that's part of the reason for Yukio's sobered and strict approach to the topic. Niko was much of the same, Ishiah suspects, after having seen Caliban give in or bend to the more chaotic half of his background. Niko's never shared the story with him directly, but Ishiah knows bits and pieces from Robin, pieced together over the many evenings spent talking at length about the boys.

He knows that Caliban was once taken, almost as though to reeducate him, and that Niko saw the immediate impact of that time spent away.
